Online Drugs, Viagra, Calais, and the Whole Gamut of SPAM Topics

Okay, anyone else notice lately that SPAM has gotten even worse than usual.  I bet I could write a book on the ridiculous subject lines that come through my P2 email and it just leaves me wondering "do these guys really think we would ever click on the link or buy squat from them."

I don't get this type of email from any other account except my P2 account.  And most of them are the same exact email topic/layout with a different headline and a crazy "from" name like "Dill Pickleman" or some other version of an english word.

I can't seem to block them or stop them and when I get really aggressive I end up losing emails that I need. Anyone else have the same type of emails popping up, especially the one with the picture of a woman on it (looks like she's wearing a lab coat) hawking viagra.  Have any luck getting rid of them?

I even researched the source and discovered most come from overseas.  It looks like they like P2 as there are so many emails in one spot but they have taken over the system!  I must get 150 a day from only about 3-4 different layouts.

I'm about ready to drop my P2 email again.  I tried it once but then my rankings drop in the system as it then appears I am not getting contacted by any prospects.

Any suggestions?  And by the way one need viagra?  I have a lot of sources:)

Oh wow! I feel so much better now. I thought I was the only one getting those Viagra e-mails. I was afraid someone was trying to tell me something ;)

I am getting those blank extenders. I don't have a blank why do I want to make it longer. Anyway, I am coming up with my own to market, maybe a string with a brick attached to it.

I don't have a P2 e-mail, but that is a good case for not getting one. I get at least 200-300 e-mails a day that are pure junk . . . my unique visitors on my main site 130-150. I don't know if I could bear any more.

LOL Mary, there's a great product that women take that extends a blank. It's called tequila . . .

I'm still trying to figure out where the cameras are hidden since they seem to know to much about what I need!

Interesting. I get very little spam from my P2 domain email. But I get a couple hundred a day on other, non-Point2 addresses.

It seems whatever email address the spammers latch on to is the one that gets hammered with it.

The best solution I found is to use Thunderbird as an email client. (Made by those that do the Firefox browser). It has a very easy way to "train" what goes into the spam folder. After a few weeks, it does a pretty good job of moving the spam before I even see it -- until the spammers find a new way around.

One tip, don't EVER respond in *any* way to these emails. You may think you are unsubscribing, but all you are doing is confirming to the spammer that they've found an active email address.

I don't use p2 e-mail.

I use my own domain name and e-mail with that domain from http://godaddy.com

I don't get very much junk e-mail, most of the spam is real estate related.

I do have several rules set up to "delete from server" and only use one computer for the lost part for my e-mails.

I don't accept e-mails from the UK or France, sorry.

I don't use the P2 email but like everyone was getting 100's of spam of all types.  I down loaded a free program called Coffee Cup and this has been great!  It will let you block an individual email address or an entire domain, such as buy@companyxyz.com.  It is very simple to set up and use.

I too am getting way to many emails from agents, all of which I delete.

I also get a ton of you know what enlargement and uppers and downers and others that I am not quite sure what they are...I flag them as "junk email" in outlook, but I think they just find a new way every time you turn the other way. Even if they tweak the email address just a bit it will come through again.

I have given up the battle of the 300 emails per day. I just might start sending them emails asking if they are ready to purchase or sell their home!!
