PERSPECTIVE!

I can't remember who told me this true story, but I remember the story well.

There was a man who was once robbed of his purse. He wrote in his diary: "Let me be thankful. First, I was never robbed before. Second, although they took my purse, they did not take my life. Third, although they took my all, it was not much. Fourth, let me be thankful because it was I who was robbed, and not I who did the robbing."

What a perspective!!!!!!

Webster's dictionary defines perspective as: one's "point of view", the choice of a context for opinions, beliefs and experiences.

I love how that's worded. "the choice of a context for opinions, beliefs, and experiences."

What if we chose to have a different perspective then our usual stock response? What if we purposed it in our hearts to deliberately see the glass as half full instead of half empty? What would change?

What if we chose to take those lemons life gives us and make lemonade! Then sell it for a profit *wink* ~

Every day when we wake up we have a choice. We can choose how our attitude and perspective will be for that day.

That especially applies to the real estate business - we can take challenging situations and look at it as an opportunity to learn and grow and add to our expertise as we crunch through problem solving, or we can look at it as an obstacle or stumbling block and allow it to stress us out. The choices we make regarding our perspective will be key in our success or lack of success.

"Any day we wish; we can start the process of life change." (-Jim Rohn)

So what will you choose today?

I always think of my cup as overflowing because we are so blessed,

To live in America and have a roof over our head and food in our bellys.

We are just a small speck in this world and we can contribute so much.

I love my job selling homes and everyday I get up I think who am I going to sell a home to today? I sell the Best Homes in the World to the Best people in the World!....I even get paid for it...what a deal...what a blessing. The thing we need to think about is how lucky we are and how small we are and how much we can do just check out the World Clock

See what I mean....We are so Blessed every day!

Where I live a guy might also be thankful that he didn't get beat up for carrying a purse. ;) (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I also believe that happiness is very much a choice. Humans have an unbelievable tolerance to handle that things which come our way but our attitudes have a lot to do with it.

What a nice thought to start a day with positive posts like this!!! It is indeed our choice and perspective that set our mood as we perform our daily tasks in whatever situation we are in.

God Bless!!

Good post, Anthony.

Gigi, why are you starting your day so late? :)

My daughter-in-law is from the Phillipines. She wants to go back for a visit so bad I think she is ready to start swimming.

Mike, Am in the Philippines and we have different time zones!! When its night time there, its morning here next day. Isn't 7 am too late to start for you? Well, considering I end my day at 1:30 am. I'm probably lazy then. LOL. You must all be sound asleep by this time while am busy working..LOL

Nice to know, you have a Filipina for a daughter -in-law. We have lots of nice beaches here. It's becoming a favorite retiment place for many, not only Americans but other nationalities as well. I belong to some egroups of foreigners who are either retired in the Phils or are planning to retire especially those whose retirement income is not enough to afford same lifestyle they have when they are still actively earning. They like it here because we are friendly people, hospitable and they dont feel like strangers here since everyone speaks and understand English. I am their resource person with regard to real estate matters.

95% of my business comes from my P2 website! Its the greatest thing that ever happen to my real estate business! And I really enjoy Relib posts. Its fun to interact with fellow practitioners from the other side of the globe while learning many things from the sharing of experiences and encouraging thoughts like this one from Anthony.

Am really having fun!

Thanks!!

Gigi,

Yes, I was kidding with you about starting your day late.

Thanks for sharing with us about the Phillipines. I plan on visiting, soon I hope. I have seen pictures and the beaches look beautiful.

I will choose NOT to write anything in my diary that someone might find out about me later (like carrying a purse).
