Great info!  I was aware that Craig's List was reviewing the situation, but not that they made a decision.   And frankly, I don't blame CL from blocking the higher HTML uses.   I'm sure at some level it is server space and at other levels, it was supposed to be a neighborhood bulletin board.   Just hit the Lotto and turned into a world-wide phenomenon!!!

Do you know if this will affect our P2 listing entries?  I've never looked closely at what HTML tags used in them.  I guess we'd be wise to look closely prior to hitting 'enter'.

I'd like to hear from someone with P2 to see if they are addressing this issue so we can still easily syndicate our listings to Craigslist.

We're constantly monitoring all of our syndication partners, and Craigslist is no exception.  Our format currently meets all Craigslist requirements, and we'll keep on top of any changes on that front.

I'm sure that other real estate marketing companies that use Craig's List are wondering what the final outcome will be.  IF CL changes its HTML policy, their "products" will need to be changed.

I don't blame them either for banning HTML. Too many people spamming the boards.

I'd be more than happy to pay, let's say $1 per listing for any HTML sydnication. I get a great response rate from craigslist.

I'm with you, Chantal.  I've had good results from CL, and even did when I wasn't using any fancy HTML.  

Portland, Oregon, is a VERY CL friendly area, so, for me, it's a must, as even if it didn't work, they expect me to list the property there also!

Of course if every Realtor in Portland metro listed at CL, there would not be much room for FSBOs, and that might be another dilemma for Craig to consider.

Personally, I’ve not bought a house off CL, but I bought my motorcycle, helped people find their lost pets, located my landscaper,  house painter and many contractors there.  And bought/sold A LOT of items.  It's the greatest!
