I’m heading to the gym today!

OK - The reason I am posting this is because I am tired of hearing Todd you need to lose some weight. Yes I have gained a few pounds in the last couple of years and YES, I do really enjoy a really good meal at a very nice restaurant with my wife.

                                              The Gym

Let me tell you a few things first about why I have decided to post this here. I want everyone to know we do have options. My wife is a really good baker and loves to bake cookies and brownies and being the good husband I am, I have to test them for her to make sure she doesn't poison anyone else in the neighborhood. I also like to help her feel good about herself and I wouldn't want to make her think I don't enjoy her cooking.

Remember a way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Real Estate takes a lot of time and in the past I have realized that working out takes a lot of time and energy and sometimes I just don't have that amount of time to work out. I used to be a runner and ran 20 miles a day - Yes you read that correctly 20 miles a day. That was in a galaxy far far away though.

So to stop the conversations cold about me needing to lose the weight! I know the answer. I am on my way to  the gym right now. By the way, for all of you who are reading this, and I sure hope it isn't anyone I know, I have now decided to name my couch gym!

Your are so thoughtful, Todd!  I'm sure your wife appreciates all your efforts.  Right up until the time you put swim trunks on.  Don't overdo it! LOL

LOL, Todd . . . remember the days when it was perfectly acceptable to have a face and a body for radio?

I have been riding my bike 72 miles each week for the past month and a half.  I have only lost 6 pounds.  I go to the gym to workout with weights 2x's a week.  My body is not happy.  I am moderatly sore.  I get up at 5:30am to do all of this.  I'm waiting to start feeling better.

I really enjoy baking but I have stopped.

You are a hoot.  I exercise to keep the stress down.  I'm going to be up to 200 miles a week if Real Estate sales don't pick up.

Todd,

I told you before what my favorite exercise of late is: walking away from listings.  I must have lost 20 lbs already.

Am I the only one doing that kind of exercise?

Mary, "Don't forget to lift the remote."  Cute but a remark like that is hitting us men below the belt.  There were sports, then cars, then TV, and finally TV remotes.  Those are the most sacred things in men's life.

Does anyone know where can I buy Adam Sandler's TV remote he used in one of his latest movie, "Click"?   I must have one of those.

Thank you all for your comments and now Becky, no it isn't anyone you know.

John I have also been looking for that remote, but they are always sold out of it! I've even went to the back of Bed, Bath and Beyond!

Candice - I had to laugh about the face and body for radio comment. I hated doing remotes and hearing "Oh - you don't look like how I pictured you" - That always hurt!

Heh heh heh . . . Todd, I'm sure in your case it was probably a compliment and you didn't realize it.

We both know the standard DJ appearance pre the Rick Dees generation was about 5'8" 350 lbs and bald.

And the men were really dumpy too . . . ROFL
